JOHN
LAWRENCE was born in Kent in 1940. He was awarded a scholarship to Beckenham
Art College and following graduation, enjoyed a very successful commercial
career working as a freelance illustrator with top London agencies and
newspapers. In 1995 John and his wife moved to Kerry in Ireland to concentrate
on his oil painting. John prefers to paint plein air and his feeling for
movement, light and brushwork are evident in his dramatic use of colour
and texture. |
