PETER BEARD, one of Europe's leading ceramic artists was born in Southport in 1951. His participation in many solo and mixed exhibitions throughout the world has brought him international recognition. His achievements have gained him an award of merit in the prestigious Fletcher Challenge Award and scholarship for travel and study in Egypt and Japan.
