Simon produces hand thrown and hand built earthenware ceramics and describes himself as a ‘painter in clay’. Using different coloured slip he decorates his ware with abstract patterns/mark making techniques drawing on knowledge he’s gained studying the history of art and artists over many years. Whatever the influences are he is producing bold and graphic work which makes them very appealing and quite unique.
